Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation awarded grant funding for FY 2023 to support NOC at Waters of James Crossing to deliver programs and services directly to this community.

Back to School event for Waters at James Crossing kids to help ready them for the new school year was held inside the Jubilee Family Development Center’s gym. Many volunteers were on hand to help distribute the backpacks and school supplies. Food (grilled hot dogs and hamburgers) and beverages were provided by the Lynchburg Police Department’s Community Outreach Division; a volunteer brought several trays of cupcakes, and volunteer barbers were on site to offer haircuts. Approximately 75-80 residents attended. (8/14/2023)

Health Screenings were held at Waters at James Crossing in partnership with the Johnson Health Center who brought its Mobile Medical Unit onsite. (5/14/2023)
